Complete 209 shot shell primer converted bolts for the Remington 700 ML / MLS
NEW STAINLESS OUT OF STOCK UNTIL THE FALL OF 2024. NOS BLUED BODY OUT OF STOCK FOR FORESEABLE FUTURE
These bolts have two versions:
-- All new Stainless - built on our stripped stainless bolts (new skeletonized handle tig welded to an original Remington bolt body)
then build into complete bolts via our 209 conversion kit
-- Remington NOS or used original bolt bodies (with silver soldered handles) we sometimes find for sale here an there & built with our 209 conversion kit.
We expect limited availability of complete new stainless bolts beginning in the end of September 2024. We'll offer some of these for presale in September with an October shipping date once we are sure of the 'new guy's' ability to produce quality bolts.
Live or hunt out west and have a season where you can't use a sealed breech or 209's, but then have another where you can? Don't want to go through the trouble of converting your original bolt? Bought a rifle that is missing a bolt? Not a problem! These bolts are for you!
COMPLETE NEW STAINLESS BOLT:
We scratch build these out of old production Remington OEM Stainless Steel bolt bodies (in the white) with new production Remington Stainless steel bolt handles TIG welded on, then media blasted to give it a nice dull grey patina. We press on our 209 conversion bolt nose and build up our firing pin with brand new Badger Ridge & Remington components. That's right: a new 209 converted bolt scratch built from the best components we can find! The stainless come with skeletonized light weight handles (we no longer stock the standard handle).
REMEMBER:
Our bolts will not work with the original breech plug, so if you don't already have one of our 209 hunter breech plugs, remember to add one on to your purchase in order to have a complete, sealed breech 209 conversion.
You may need to 'tune' your breech plug to your choice of primers (click here to see a tutorial on the process). This is done by gently reaming the breech plug's flash chamber with a letter C drill bit. We ship a letter C bit and a 7/64 Hex L wrench with each breech plug purchased. Or you can buy letter 'C' drill bits as an 'add on' item.
