3D printed tray for holding and turning 9 eggs in an incubator
These trays make manual turning of eggs fast and easy
This setting tray is designed to be used in an old school cabinet incubator, home made cooler incubator, or the classic Hovabators. The picture below shows 3 of them in use in our Hovabator (that I've modified with an electronic temperature controller).
One of these egg trays measures 6 inches by 7 inches. Four trays would fill our Hovabator which is about 15x15inches inside dimensions. We like to use 3 trays so that we can keep a corner free for a back up temp/humidity sensor and a bottle of water (which if you keep it in the incubator will not cool it when you add water to maintain humidity). You could easily add a fourth tray if you wanted.

Compatible with most eggs: Goose, Emu, Peafowl, and Turkey. Some really fat and pointy eggs don't turn well, but it typically works great for most. Each tray holds up to 9 eggs (laid on their side... which is how they roll). We like to mark one side of the egg with an X, and the other with an O.. then roll them by hand back and forth every few hours. We stop so that the opposite side is up from where we started. Trays make quick work of rolling the eggs and minimize the drop in temp from having the incubator open.
